    1. The power of habits
      1. "And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz." Ruth 2:1
        1. A mighty man of valor
        2. A pillar
        3. A man of wealth.
      2. We are creatures of habits
      3. We first make our habits and than our habits make us.
      4. The original meaning of habit was garment. And just like our garments we wear our habits daily.

        4. We are not born with them.
        5. We are slaves to our habits we must make more good of habits than bad.

    1. Ive been watching a lot of basketball bad habit
      1. Forming good habits is the key success
      2. We don't succeed by doing a good thing one time
      3. By doing things right on a regular basis 
      4. Habits are the key to all success
    2. But I always here about the superstar made to practice far past to what is expected

    1. Habits can be changed
    2. The only thing that matters is desire
    3. The old cliche is you cant teach an old dog new tricks but since we have a dog ive read and watch many dog shows and you can teach an old dog.
    4. The best way to get rid of old habits is to replace them with good habits
    5. Benjamin made a list of thirteen habits he wanted and a list he didn't want and replaced them on a daily basis 
    6. 1. Temperance: Eat not to dullness and drink not to elevation.
      2. Silence: Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself. Avoid trifling conversation.
      3. Order: Let all your things have their places. Let each part of your business have its time.
      4. Resolution: Resolve to perform what you ought. Perform without fail what you resolve.
      5. Frugality: Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself: i.e. Waste nothing.
      6. Industry: Lose no time. Be always employed in something useful. Cut off all unnecessary actions.
      7. Sincerity: Use no hurtful deceit. Think innocently and justly; and, if you speak, speak accordingly.
      8. Justice: Wrong none, by doing injuries or omitting the benefits that are your duty.
      9. Moderation: Avoid extremes. Forebear resenting injuries so much as you think they deserve.
      10. Cleanliness: Tolerate no uncleanness in body, clothes or habitation.
      11. Chastity: Rarely use venery but for health or offspring; Never to dullness, weakness, or the injury of your own or another's peace or reputation.
      12. Tranquility: Be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common or unavoidable.
      13. Humility: Imitate Jesus and Socrates

    1. Good habits make a difference 
    2. The guy with the same schedule and faithful at it every day he makes a differance. 
    3. I believe God has one grea thing for you to do but you can miss it if you are not faithful 
    4. Our habit reflect our character
      1. Integrity
      2. Compassion 
      3. Concern for others
      4. Service 
      5. Commitment
    5. Habits of the heart 
    6. Good habits make a difference
    7. We are what we do repeatedly Excellence is not an act but an habit.
